Loreena McKennitt's website, Quinlanroad.com, is posting the story of my song "Dedication of Merit." Ms. McKennitt wrote the melody that I borrowed to host the translated English lyrics to our Buddhist liturgy's "Dedication of Merit" that we use at the end of every ceremony or wholesome event.
You can read the letter that tells the story here in the 2005 archives of "You Told Us."
A second joyful part of the story involves Fr. Cyprian Consiglio, my guitar-playing, sacred music composing Benedictine brother monk, who has adapted the song and made it his own.
Cyprian's "Compassionate and Wise."
